To livejournal, with love.
2000 years ago, my best friend was born in a manger.

Did manicure for the first time, and I'm really satisfied with it. Thank you Mommy (:
Met Nicole and we bought 6 tops and dresses from COTTON ON!! Big sale and everyone was rushing like crazy. I really felt like a typical auntie on that day. Thankfully, I wasn't alone, Nicole was a typical auntie with me too :) Apparently, we tried all our tops in a corner because the queue for changing rooms was winding all the way around. My first time. Thank you Nicole for the crazy mad-rush day.
Attended EK Christmas party. It was pretty fun, but I preferred last year's.

Babat kidnapped me, again. We watched the concert, Pedals & Pipes, at the Esplanade. My first time. The pianist was really really passionate, and adorable! He reminds me of Santa :) Choirs from PLMGS, MGS and another school (which I forgot) performed too and I spotted a girl who really looked like Weishan!
I made a wish for 2009 at the Esplanade by writing it on white balloons which will be placed in the sea in Marina Bay. Babat suggested for me to write,"I wish I could grow taller." And I did! To my embarrassment, a little girl read what I wrote and she stared at my heels which I wore on that day! I really wonder what was she thinking!
Left for Cineleisure to watch Twilight for my second time. Babat did bookings for all that we did on that day. I don't know why but.. Sweet and thoughtful ass :)

Worked with Hajar. My first time. We were practically talking about everything under the lights of the Rink and time passed real fast! Shared and found out so many things, and I won't deny that it's one of my best days in ek.
Sadly, even though it's one of my best days in ek, it was my last day too. I've finally decided that I should take a break for the hectic year ahead, with SYF, O levels, and daily homework. I can foresee that I'll be stretched out so hopefully my decision to leave ek for a while would do me good. I'll miss my ek clique! :'(
And all it took was a bold step forward.
I finally went to church after a long struggle of 9 months. Ben waited for me outside ek and Charmaine was late so we went first. I was late too but he texted,"Just don't skip service." Amazed at the fact in which God has created people like him.
I felt really awkward. Everyone seemed to be staring at me but there were some unexpectedly warm hugs, smiles, and small talk. I don't know how I should feel and respond to the overwhelming sensation they have radiated to me, like waves of heat rising from asphalt. Whatever the matter, that teeny weeny sense of belonging crept through my veins, calmed me down, and assured me that I once belonged here.
PS cell multiplied for God knows how many times. Many familiar faces I've lost but recovered and many unfamiliar faces I've found. PS cell is still as rowdy as ever, always engaging in their little conversations. Hmm..
Thank you Big Charmaine (Cheang) for trying to engage me in cell. And for once, I felt really accepted :)
Thank you Small Charmaine (Choo) for accompanying me during dinnertime and still making me laugh :)
Thank you Ben, for bringing me back, encouraging me to continue loving God and not disappear for another 9 months.
9 months. 9 hard and long months, being apart from God.

The day finally arrived! It's our MD Christmas Party. Everyone was savouring turkey, pizzas, muffins, spaghetti, desserts and drinks. Yum yum :P Funny and nice presents were given during gift exchange, and I cannot stop laughing at Yingquan's present. She's gonna bring that for clubbing! Hahaha! :D

Babes, send me all the other pictures by mail! :D

And with an elder sister, who cares for her sisters more than anything else, even though she keeps it to herself. An elder sister who is reserved, once unaccepted, but is shining, strong and triumphed with pride now.
Last, but not least, with a second sister who defends her family like patriotic soldiers defending their nation. A second sister whom others might look at differently. But so what? She is special, special in her eyes of her little sister..
And with that, those 3 are the most important people in my life. They are the ones whom I spent my 15th December 2008 with. 15th December 2008, the most exhilarating, memorable, and smashing day of my life. Ultimately, I thank God for everything.
So I began my morning, waking up to the fresh air God has created. Arms outstretched and hugging Mommy good morning, I washed up, got changed, and headed down to Clarke Quay to begin my ride of the day.
Central is where I got my white top from. The price is pretty reasonable and I adored it, so Mommy bought it for me. She says,"Once in a while." (:
Neh Neh wants this black jeans from FreshBox, but it costs $70. She gave it up, not wanting to splurge our family's hard-earned money.
While waiting for Dajie, Mommy bought a double scoop ice cream from a Japanese stall. We sat down by the steps, and savoured it. Man, I tell you, I had a ball of a time eating it. It's the first ice cream I ever ate with the need of strategic planning. Neh Neh made it so fun especially when she delegated parts of the ice cream to us to prevent it from melting. Neh Neh's the ultimate.

Thereafter we sat the river boat to Singapore Flyer. I really felt like a tourist on that day, visiting places that seem so foreign to me, yet I was enjoying myself to the utmost.

And the time of my life. I realised that the wheel is constantly moving. It doesn't stop for the loading and unloading of passengers and it seems treacherous when entering as the capsule seems to be going so fast. In fact, it's actually moving so slowly. I wonder why..

Boredom set in after reaching the peak. Most importantly, I've experience everlasting love with my family and adrenaline rushes while in the carriage. Thank you Mommy.

Totally famished by the end of the ride, so we filled our tummies with mouth-watering and sumptuous food at O'learys. The ambience was awesome and the people are so friendly! Filippinos, you see :) Savoured Pasta Alfredo and American pancakes, and I'm here to declare that I have a predilection of American pancakes. Totally awesome :P
Last highlight of our power-packed day was the Light Up Tour. We sat on the open-air upper deck and the rush of wind, beating against your countenance, was liberating. Once again, I really felt like a tourist, witnessing such pretty christmas lightings of Orchard and buildings I've never seen in town before. Sorry for low quality photos. I didn't snap them with my camera.

All in all, I would say 15th December 2008 was the best day of my 2008. I really don't know how am I going to wrap it up on 31st. In general, this year was downhill for me. But for now, I'm thankful that 15th December pulled my spirits up.
I'm depressed that it all has ended, but delighted that I've enjoyed it well.

Caught Twilight after dance yesterday. And.. I want to watch it again!
